On Oct 23–24, 2018, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) held a workshop on the topic “Decentralized Energy Networks and Beyond – The Transformative Potential of Distributed Ledger Technologies for the Philippines” in Manila, Philippines.
Among other facilitators such as the GIZ Blockchain Lab, Karsten Luc faciliated a workshop session for the transport and logistic sector.
With the diverse mix of technologists, government officials, civil society leaders, social development practitioners, and foreign guests, all participants were able to explore the interface of blockchain and social development and discuss possible points of action in the near future.
